The Secrets of Writing an Impressive Press Release

The press release is one of the important communication tools that a company uses when managing its public relations. It is used for the purpose of announcing the developments and innovations about an institution or organization to the relevant target bushel. The press release, unlike other types, gives the message it wants to give in a short and concise way. The most basic purpose of the press release is for the institution or organization to present its own activities to the media. This is a method that the public relations sector, in particular, applies quite often. The press releases created are sent to the relevant newspapers, magazines, relevant websites and television channels. A press release is also sometimes referred to as a press release, news release, or press release. There are things to be considered in writing a press release in an impressive way, which is an important milestone for the public relations part of a company.

Give space to your logo

The logo of your company is one of the elements that create your image. For this reason, you need to place your logo at the top of the press release. In this way, who owns the press release will be given in a striking way at the first step.

Create a stunning title

The most important thing in making a press release impressive is how the title is chosen. The subject, announcement, information that wants to be conveyed should be a title that is appropriate for whatever it is and that will emphasize it in the best way. It is also the part that will be most useful in separating the press release from other press releases during the distribution phase.

Don't forget the 5N1K

When writing a news article, the 5N1K rule should be observed. This is one of the features that should not be forgotten when writing the press release. Answers to the questions “What, Why, When, Where, How and Who” should be included in the text. In this way, all the questions that the reader is curious about will be resolved.

Give all the necessary importance to the introduction part

This section is the place where the reader will read first and will want to find answers to the questions he is curious about the subject. For this reason, it constitutes a crucial point for the press release. It is necessary to answer all the questions of 5N1K in the introduction section. In addition, short and concisely established sentences should be included. The fact that it consists of about 65 words allows the most ideal introduction section to be revealed. At the same time, creating an interesting introduction section will also benefit from reading the rest of the newsletter. 

Give space to quotations

After giving information about the subject in general terms in the introduction section, you can add a short opinion or information received from whoever is the official / responsible for the subject. The information text that you add in the form of a quote will show the professionalism and reliability of the newsletter. Serving a news release with quotes will also increase the reputation of that company in the eyes of journalists or media organizations.

Add a visual

It is very important to add a visual about the topic to the newsletter. It provides a great convenience in reflecting the subject to the other side in visual news. In some places, the effect of the visual can be even stronger than the text. For this reason, many images can be included, such as images of people responsible for the subject, images of the place where the subject is passing through. 

Also include information about your company

In addition to who owns the press release, there will be some curious questions about what kind of activities he is engaged in. Therefore, it will become more understandable for the other party to introduce your company, albeit briefly, and tell what you are dealing with.

Do not forget the contact information

The main purpose of writing the press release is to announce the company's developments in various press organs. If the press release published at this point is of interest to the other party, it will want to contact you for more information. The contact information to be added to the end part of the press release will facilitate the provision of these feedback. Information such as the company's e-mail address, phone number should be added.
